Are You Up?

So the triathlon training for my girls has officially begun. They are doing awesome.

I have also incorporated a weekly challenge and decided I shall post that weekly challenge on here so if any of you feel so inclined you can jump on the wagon.

Challenge for week #1: No soda...for at least a week, but preferably for the entire training period.

We have a couple addicts in the group...they are going to do it.

Can you do it?

HA! I'm not scared of your little challenge. :) Well, I do have some leftover martinelli's and that's a temptation. Hmmm...

I love your challenge. I need to tell you my "soda" story. I tell it so often, so don't read my blog if you heard it before.
The moral to my long story is: soda has acids in it that are very harmful to the kidneys. Not only does the acid damage the kidneys, it dehydrates your body of vital water and calcium from the bones. Really, when you think about that alone, NO ONE should drink soda except for the once a month wedding reception punch!

I love your new do!!
Good luck to everyone giving up soda. That is a good challenge. Will gave up soda and lost something like 15 pounds in just a couple of weeks! Yikes!

2 things to say. Thank you so much for posting weekly challeges. I am doing my own workout/ weight loss thing myself and could use all kinds of help. I am definitely up to this challenge. If there wasn't swimming involved in this tri I would have been there with you. Second comment-I love your new hairstyle, it makes you look very different. It just goes to show you are beautiful so many different ways. Sorry, one more comment, how is your Uncle Scott? I just reminded myself that he used to always tell us we were beautiful. This is officially the longest comment EVER

If you had pulled toughest challenge out of a hat this would've been it. I keep kicking myself for not making those cookies, I might have bought myself a few more weeks of liquid goodness!!! But, no, that was the old me, the new me doesn't need the lying deceitful liquid. It pretends to be my friend and then dashes my hopes on the rocks! :) LOL
